Master P is grieving the loss of his daughter Tytyana Miller.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the rap icon announced that his daughter, who he shares with ex-wife Sonya C, has passed away at the age of 29. The cause of death is currently unknown.
“Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana,” the No Limit Records founder wrote. “We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers love and support. Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel.”
Tytyana’s brother, Romeo Miller, also shared a heartfelt tribute to his younger sister.
“Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my little sister Tytyana,” he wrote on social media. “We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers, love, and support, and although this is sad times, I’m forever grateful for the memories I did have with my amazing sister. Love on your loved ones, life is short. The silver lining, I know she’s in a way better place and finally at peace. God Bless.”
Tytyana starred in the 2017 film A Mother’s Choice and appeared on “Growing Up Hip-Hop.” During a 2016 episode of the WE tv show, she shared her struggle with substance abuse with her father.
The Miller family also received condolences from friends including Loni Love and Ryan Destiny, who wrote, “I’m so sorry Rome. Literally no words. Sending you and your entire family some love and prayers.”
