Pete Davidson is shutting down Kanye West’s claim that he “ran” him off Instagram.

Earlier in the week, Ye boasted that his cyberbullying caused Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend–whom he calls “Skete”–to deactivate his latest Instagram account.

“Ran Skete off the gram,” Ye wrote. “Tell your mother I changed your name for life.”

But as much as West would like to take credit for making the “SNL” comedian quit Instagram, a source close to Davidson says otherwise.

“Pete deleted his IG because immediately after his first post, he started receiving a flood of messages, both positive and negative, reminding him why he didn’t want social media to begin with,” a source told Page Six.

Before deleting his page, Davidson shared a link to a video of Robert De Niro as fictional comic Rupert Pupkin in the 1981 film The King of Comedy reciting his quote, “Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime,” which many took as a shot at Ye.

“[Pete] is in the middle of several big film projects and wants to continue to stay very focused on his work and the positive things happening in his life,” the source added. “Kanye didn’t drive Pete off social media.”

Ye’s attempts to win back Kim haven’t seemed to work. After his repeated attacks, including sharing private texts from his estranged wife, Kim asked a judge to immediately restore her single status.

“I very much desire to be divorced,” she told a judge in court documents. “Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress.”
