New Yeezy is coming tonight.
Kanye West is teaming up with Alicia Keys and Fivio Foreign on what may be the first drop off DONDA 2. Their collaboration, “City of Gods,” will hit streaming services tonight, according to Fivio.
“City Of Gods 2nite @kanyewest @aliciakeys,” he wrote alongside photos of them on set of the video wearing all black.
“City of Gods” arrives ahead of Kanye’s new album DONDA 2, which drops Feb. 22. He has been in the studio with collaborators including Travis Scott, Big Sean, The Game, Hit-Boy, French Montana, A$AP Rocky, Moneybagg Yo, and Future, who is executive producing the album.
Ye collaborator Digital Nas revealed that Ye has very specific instructions when it comes to his DONDA sequel.
“These are the directives for the album: ‘If it cannot be played at a funeral, childbirth, graduation, a wedding, it will not be on our record,’” Nas told Rolling Stone. “We learned a lot from DONDA 1. We learned what hit. We learned what was sticking. So we took from there. It has to be able to be played at four major moments in people’s lives. That’s crazy, right?”
