Young Dolph’s death has sent shockwaves throughout the hip-hop community.

The Memphis rapper was gunned down outside a local cookie store in his hometown on Wednesday afternoon. He was 36 years old. A source says Dolph went into the store when a vehicle pulled up and opened fire, striking the rapper.

Following the tragic news, Dolph’s fans and peers took to social media to pay their respects to the “Case Closed” hitmaker.

Megan Thee Stallion, who collaborated with Dolph on “RNB,” was stunned over the death of her friend.

“I am sooo sick rn I am in disbelief! Praying for his family and friends ! Rest In Peace to my friend a true legend dolph,” she wrote.

Both Quavo and Offset offered their condolences, while a heartbroken Gucci Mane tweeted, “R. I.P. to my friend Dolph this broke my heart.”

Chance the Rapper remembered the Chicago-born MC for his hustle and kindness. “God bless Dolph Real independent Memphis rapper born in chicago. loved by millions of ppl. Always showed love everytime I seen him this is tragic God bless his family man,” he said.

Others including Rick Ross, Lil Yachty, and LL Cool J also paid tribute to Dolph, who leaves behind a son and daughter.

“Sending love to the family ,friends, & fans of @YoungDolph,” tweeted LL. “Rest in power young Brother. I pray your children and family are covered and lifted up by the almighty.”

Keke Palmer shared her support for Dolph’s wife and mother of his two kids, Mia Jaye, while remarking on the circumstances surrounding his death.

“The way folks moving these days seems unreal,” she said. “Instead of being inspired or uplifted by someone’s success there is nothing but jealousy and envy and this hurts me esp for our community.”

Monica had vacationed with Dolph and his family and spoke with him on FaceTime just the night before. “My heart is shattered,” she wrote. “I had no idea that last night would be the last time I saw your face! I told you , you were my brother & that’s how it will remain FOREVER!! #UntilWeMeetAgain To your Family & Your Wife & Children I am here!!”
