Chris Brown is off the hook in his battery case.

The singer will not be prosecuted after prosecutors decided to reject the case. According to TMZ, the L.A. City Attorney’s Office declined to move forward with charges due to insufficient evidence against Chris.

In June, cops were called to Brown’s home after a woman claimed he smacked the back of her head so hard that her weave came off. Police filed a battery report and Chris was named as the suspect.

Aside from the displaced weave, the woman reportedly suffered no injuries and no arrests were made.

Following the report, Chris seemingly responded to the accusations on his Instagram Story. “Yall so damn [cap],” he wrote alongside a series of laughing emojis.

With one legal battle behind him, Chris is now facing a lawsuit for copyright infringement over his 2019 Drake collaboration, “No Guidance.” Brandon Cooper, who goes by the stage name Mr. Cooper, and Timothy Valentine claim “No Guidance” ripped off their song called “I Love Your Dress.” In their suit, they allege that the beat, lyrics, hook, and rhythmic structure were copied, and are seeking “big damages.”
