Machine Gun Kelly and Conor McGregor nearly came to blows after getting into an altercation at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Photos show the two being pulled apart by security after the UFC champ allegedly threw his drink at the “Bloody Valentine” singer on the red carpet at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

According to TMZ, Connor approached MGK and stuck his hand out in an attempt to say hello. MGK told something to his security, who pushed Conor away. In the process, Conor stumbled and spilled his drink. Conor then allegedly threw the remainder at Kelly, who walked the carpet with his girlfriend Megan Fox.

“They scuffled, then it settled down and Conor went for him again,” a source told Page Six, while another source added, “[McGregor] was ready to throw fists. Security was having trouble holding him back.”

Machine Gun Kelly was later caught on video hitting a Variety reporter’s microphone and walking off after being asked about the fight.

While MGK wouldn’t address the scuffle, McGregor took shots at MGK during an interview with “Entertainment Tonight.” “Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean,” he said. “I certainly don’t fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.”

Kelly closed out the VMAs with a performance of “papercuts” featuring Travis Barker and took home the award for Best Alternative for “my ex’s best friend.”
