Megan Thee Stallion and her record label are back at it.

In legal documents, obtained by TMZ, the Houston rapper claims that 1501 Certified Entertainment and its founder Carl Crawford are trying to prevent her from releasing a collaboration with BTS.

Meg is featured on a remix to the K-pop group’s chart-topping hit “Butter” that is slated to drop this Friday, unless her label is able to block it.

Meg believes “Butter” will grow her international fanbase, while 1501 doesn’t believe the song will be good her career. However, she says it’s just an excuse to force her to pay them six figures and sign off on the song’s release.

This is the latest drama between Meg and her label. In March 2020, she sued 1501, claiming that the label wouldn’t let her release new music because she wanted to renegotiate her contract. She was granted a court order prohibiting 1501 and Crawford from blocking the release of her new music.

She says the latest move by 1501 to stop the “Butter (Remix)” is in violation of the order and wants a judge to intervene so she can release the track on time.
