A day before Rolling Loud Miami kicks off, one of the stages has collapsed.
According to a tweet from the festival, a screen that was going to be used for this weekend’s performances fell down. Video footage from local news shows the stage folded in on itself as crew members asses the damage. It’s unclear what caused the collapse.
Thankfully, there were no injuries and concert organizers assured fans that the stage will be fixed by the time the festival opens tomorrow.
“In case you see it on the news, a screen fell down at one of our stages,” read a tweet from the Rolling Loud account. “Nobody was hurt and it will be fixed before doors open tomorrow. The show goes on!”
After taking a year off due to the pandemic, the three-day hip-hop festival will return to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens this weekend with performances from Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky, Post Malone, 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, Lil Uzi Vert, and more.
Kanye West is also rumored to take the stage on Sunday following the release of his new album DONDA. Consequence revealed the potential stage design for Ye’s performance, which would mark his first festival appearance since Coachella in 2019.
