Lady Gaga’s dog walker was shot and her two dogs were stolen.
The Los Angeles Police Department said a man was shot during a robbery before 10 p.m. in Hollywood on Wednesday (Feb. 24) and was transported to the hospital in stable condition. The male suspect took Gaga’s two French bulldogs, named Koji and Gustav, using a semi-automatic handgun and fled the scene in a white Nissan.
According to TMZ, three dogs were being walked and two were taken by the gunman. It’s possible the gunman did not act alone and did not know the dogs were owned by Lady Gaga.
While the victim was getting treated by paramedics on the sidewalk, he was cradling a third dog. Gaga’s bodyguard was later seen removing the black bulldog, named Asia, from the victim’s arms to comfort it.
Gaga, who is reportedly extremely upset, is offering a $500,000 reward for the dogs’ safe return, “no questions asked.” Anyone who has the dogs can email KojiandGustav@gmail.com to retrieve the reward.
The dog walker appeared to be alert and talking to first responders. He was taken to the hospital and is “recovering well.”
The singer has been in Rome filming a new movie. An investigation is ongoing.
