After over six years, Bobby Shmurda is expected to be released from prison, and Quavo will be there to welcome him home.

The Migos rapper tells Billboard that he will pick up the Brooklyn rapper when he steps out of New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility as soon as Tuesday (Feb. 23).

“I’m going to get my guy,” said Quavo. “I’m personally gonna go pick up Bobby Shmurda. I’m bout to go get him. I’m gonna let him show you how I’m gonna pick him up, yessir.”

Quavo anticipates a big comeback for the “Hot Ni**a” hitmaker, who’s been behind bars since 2014. “It’s gonna be big,” said Quavo.

Migos previously collaborated with Shmurda on 2015’s “Shmoney Never Stop” and even teased a Shmigo Gang joint mixtape. The group’s new album Culture III is due in “less than a month-and-a-half,” according to Quavo.

Shmurda, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, was arrested in December 2014 on conspiracy to murder, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment charges. In 2016, he took a plea deal and was sentenced to six to seven years. Last September, Shmurda was denied parole due to multiple prison violations. However, the Time Allowance Committee later decided to grant him the Feb. 23 conditional release for good behavior. He will be on parole until 2026.

Upon his release, Shmurda’s mother, Leslie Pollard, says her son plans to celebrate with family at an intimate dinner before hitting the studio to work on new music.

“In less than 24 hours it’s about so be SUPER LITTTT Big Things for NYC as Bobby is returning to pick up where he left off. STAY TUNED!!!” Pollard wrote on Instagram.

On the eve of his release, Shmurda himself returned to social media. “How the fucc y’all forget about me,” he told fans.
